Dr. Lane Yuill

Lane Yuill’s path to becoming a veterinarian began on a dairy farm, where she grew up showing cows in 4H and competing with her horses. Surrounded by animals and family pets, a career in veterinary medicine felt like a natural fit, allowing her to combine her love for animals with a genuine enjoyment for building relationships with clients. Lane thrives on the variety of working in both emergency and general practice, seeing the full spectrum of care from critical interventions to long-term preventative health.

She finds particular fulfillment in emergency surgery and complex medical cases, yet she equally values watching puppies and kittens grow into healthy seniors through years of preventative care. Some of her most rewarding professional moments include performing GDV surgeries and C-sections, and she feels an immense sense of pride every time a patient goes home happy and healthy after a tough illness.

Outside of the clinic, Lane remains deeply connected to her agricultural roots, owning and showing dairy cattle across the Atlantic provinces, Quebec, and Ontario. She is also an avid equestrian who plans to compete in eventing this summer with her two off-the-track Thoroughbreds, Penny and Rien. At home, she shares her space with Avery, a sweet beagle who loves adventuring to the barn, and Nala, an orange long-haired cat who truly believes she is a dog. To unwind, Lane enjoys running, yoga, skiing, tending to her cut flower garden, and spending summer days at the beach.
