Mackenzie Ashby is a Hospital Manager dedicated to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. With professional expertise in anesthesia, leadership, and training, she embraces the "many hats" required to run a high-functioning veterinary environment. Mackenzie finds her greatest joy in the strength of her team—whether it is hearing her staff laugh, watching them come together during an emergency, or seeing teammates step up to support one another. She also finds it deeply rewarding when a client, who once vowed never to get another pet, returns to the clinic to proudly show off a new kitten or puppy.

At home, Mackenzie is a "foster fail" success story. Her family includes three cats: Sarah, a tabby with DJD; Corey, a white dilute calico with Stomatitis; and Miles, a high-energy orange cat. She also has a Golden Retriever named Toby, affectionately described as having "allergies and two brain cells". When she isn't at the hospital, Mackenzie enjoys reading, hiking, walking, attending bonfires, listening to music, and puttering around the house.
